Taco Week & Margarita Madness!!

Sushi Taco- Served in a tempura sea weed shell with sushi rice, avocado, deep fried fish, spicy mayo & green onions. Topped with house made pickled onion bob balls. Raspberry Diablo Margarita- Made with Raspberries, tequila, Curacao, Chambered, Oloroso Sherry, lime juice, vanilla syrup. A raspberry and vanilla dust rim, and topped with ginger agave bubbles.

House made 7oz Certified Angus Beef patty, topped with red wine and tarragon sautéed onions, whiskey caramelized onions, a portobello mushroom wrapped with bacon and stuffed with a cheese and herb blend, leaf lettuce, topped with an onion aioli and served on an onion Kaiser bun.

The Tipsy 'Toban - Award Winning! Dill fries layered with caramelized Whiskey onions, candied maple bacon, Bothwell fried cheese curds, smothered in Transcanada Arrow IPA Jus, and garnished with green onions

La Pizza Week, Cajun Corn Flatbread

Our take on a Mexican street corn Flatbread. Made with BBQ sauce, pulled pork, pickled onions, pico de gallo, and feta, topped with blackened cajun corn, cilantro, a cheese blend and a sriracha ranch drizzle.

Fried Chicken Fest 2023 2nd Place!

The Gochu DANG Thats’s Good! House-made sweet and spicy Gochujang sauce, crispy chicken bites, sesame seeds and cucumber, served on a bed of sushi rice and topped with green onions and crispy wontons. This feature dish will leave you saying, “DANG that’s good!” (Make it vegetarian with our fried cauliflower bites)

The Ultimate Mother Clucker Waffle Bowl - Award winning! Six deep fried chicken balls stuffed three ways: Apple and Brie, Broccoli and Cheddar, and Pesto Parmesan topped with a cream sauce, maple flavoured aioli and green onions, served in a waffle cone bowl.

Burger Week

Our culinary team created something special just for Burger week which ran from Sept.1-14/2021, the "Chimichurri Twist"! House made 7oz Certified Angus Beef patty, topped with Chimichurri, sliced pineapple, bacon jam, marinated mushrooms, and Bothwell mozzarella cheese. $1 from every burger sold during the two week Burger event was donated to the United Way Winnipeg.

Taco & Margarita Week hit Winnipeg August 16th-23rd! We featured our signature Blackened Fish Tacos and a new Ginger Pomegranate Margarita. We are proud to announce our Margarita ended up winning Margarita week 2021!!!

Le Caesar Week

Check out our submission “The Blockin’ BBQ Caesar”. This is a smokey caesar that will remind you of a barbeque cookout with friends or a nice evening bonfire. It is rimmed with Montreal steak spice and garnished with a piece of beef jerky and a pickle!

La Poutine Week

We are honoured to hear we placed in the top 5 for Poutine Week which ran from February 1-7th, 2021. We served our Pulled Pork Poutine with a new twist as we deep fried our cheese curds! House smoked pulled pork, house breaded and deep fried Bothwell cheese curds, signature gravy, green onions and French fries. $1 from each poutine sold for the week was donated to charity. Thank you to our amazing team for all their hard work and to our customers for supporting us!

Fried Chicken Fest

We are happy to announce we placed 3rd for Chicken Fest 2021!!! Block & Blades entry for Fried Chicken Fest was our Twice Fried Mother Clucker: Crispy buttermilk chicken topped with cheese, lettuce, red thai curry sauce, pickled jalapenos, and red onions on a brioche bun, panko crusted and deep fried. Served with a deep fried pickle. You read that right, we deep fried the whole thing!! Thank you to everyone who participated, we had a great week!!
