Spiced Mango-Rita - Blanco Tequila, Aperol, lime juice, mango puree, cinnamon cordial, spiced coconut whip, smoky & spicy rimmer, cilantro garnish.

Taco Week

Spicy Sesame Chicken Taco - Shredded cabbage, onions, carrots, cucumber, sour cream, seasoned chicken, mixed cheese blend, housemaid spicy sesame sauce, wonton chips, cilantro and pickled onions. Substitute tofu option available.

Caesar Week

From May 14th-22nd, come try Block & Blade's Chipotle Surf 'n' Turf Caesar! This signature caesar is created with a house made dill & roasted garlic Worcestershire sauce, chipotle tabasco, Clamato, and 2oz of Anejo Tequila. Rimmed with a specialty southwest chipotle seasoning and garnished with bacon, a chipotle lime prawn, pickle, lime wedge and dill spring.

La Pizza Week

From May 1st to 14th we are featuring our Sweet and Savoury Flatbread: The perfect combination of both sweet and savoury ingredients. Our flatbread features a sweet fig jam, green apple, with savoury prosciutto, and brie, then baked to perfection and topped with arugula.

La Poutine Week

The Tipsy 'Toban - Dill fries layered with caramelized Whiskey onions, candied maple bacon, Bothwell fried cheese curds, smothered in Transcanada Arrow IPA Jus, and garnished with green onions

Fried Chicken Fest

Holiday Boards

Burger Week

Our culinary team created something special just for Burger week which ran from Sept.1-14/2021, the "Chimichurri Twist"! House made 7oz Certified Angus Beef patty, topped with Chimichurri, sliced pineapple, bacon jam, marinated mushrooms, and Bothwell mozzarella cheese. $1 from every burger sold during the two week Burger event was donated to the United Way Winnipeg.

Taco & Margarita Week hit Winnipeg August 16th-23rd! We featured our signature Blackened Fish Tacos and a new Ginger Pomegranate Margarita. We are proud to announce our Margarita ended up winning Margarita week 2021!!!

Le Caesar Week

Check out our submission “The Blockin’ BBQ Caesar”. This is a smokey caesar that will remind you of a barbeque cookout with friends or a nice evening bonfire. It is rimmed with Montreal steak spice and garnished with a piece of beef jerky and a pickle! Don't forget to vote!

La Pizza Week- You know you want two!

May 1-7th 2021 - You Know You Want Two, so we created two in one! A flatbread duo featuring half Bruschetta - pesto, tomato, garlic, balsamic vinegar, red onion, parmesan, Bothwell mozzarella, garnished with balsamic glaze; AND half Butter Chicken - chicken, onions, garlic, ginger, cumin, garam masala, coriander, crushed tomato, garnished with cilantro and cilantro creme.

La Poutine Week

We are honoured to hear we placed in the top 5 for Poutine Week which ran from February 1-7th, 2021. We served our Pulled Pork Poutine with a new twist as we deep fried our cheese curds! House smoked pulled pork, house breaded and deep fried Bothwell cheese curds, signature gravy, green onions and French fries. $1 from each poutine sold for the week was donated to charity. Thank you to our amazing team for all their hard work and to our customers for supporting us!

Fried Chicken Fest

We are happy to announce we placed 3rd for Chicken Fest 2021!!! Block & Blades entry for Fried Chicken Fest was our Twice Fried Mother Clucker: Crispy buttermilk chicken topped with cheese, lettuce, red thai curry sauce, pickled jalapenos, and red onions on a brioche bun, panko crusted and deep fried. Served with a deep fried pickle. You read that right, we deep fried the whole thing!! Thank you to everyone who participated, we had a great week!!

Featuring 3 twists on our Burgers

During the week of August 31/20-September 6/20, we were thrilled to show off our culinary teams talents with twists on our signature burgers! The burgers we featured were; 1. Beef Patty Brisket Burger. 2. Crispy Chicken Sandwich. 3. Crispy Vegetarian Burger.

RRC Student Showcase Dinner

In August, we hosted an evening showcasing the talent from our Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management students. The five course meal was astounding! Congratulations to the students and our team.
